The Night that changed my life!!!!

So everyone, Meet Uncle Jeremy and Uncle Robbie....

 These amazing boys came to stay with us for only 1 night, but will be in our hearts for a lifetime. They are in the African Children's Choir organization which is touring the U.S. singing Gods praises!!!! After touring with this organization for 12 months, these boys will recieve funded education through college in Uganda!!!!! We were blessed to have Uncle Robbie stay with us. He is a product of this organization. He is from Uganda, and toured with the choir in '93. He now has his degree in Business Administation and is Volunteering for the Choir because it changes LIVES!!

                           When we got the boys, we found out that they had never seen fireworks
before and it just so happened that we had some left over from New Years!!! They were so excited
to shoot some and see them in action. They were jumping around everywhere and just grinning ear to ear!
This melted my heart, knowing that this would be something they remember forever!! Grayson loved having these boys in our home . While we were sleeping on the living room floor the first and only thing Grayson said was " I am so glad that they have a warm soft bed and house to sleep in tonight. You see, these boys come from terrible conditions. From what Robbie said, Most have only a 1 room mud house of about 500 sq ft if that much. They are surrounded by poverty and violence. They wonder if they will even have a meal that day and most only have 1 surviving parent if that. My heart just wept hearing stories about what they live every day. But then, after crying and praying and wanting to just keep these boys and love on them and feed them ( which is exactly what we did while they were with us) God spoke to me. He reminded me that it is these people that are blessed.  They are not tainted with things or have any sense of entitlement! They don't have to be reminded daily of how blessed they are. They are truly joyful in the Lord and for EVERY, I mean EVERY small blessing. I have never in my life been around such respectful, thankful, joyful, loving,blessed people. It brought to my attention how so very much more we have than we need. The poorest person here in the U.S. has so many more opportunities and is so much more rich monetarily than most people in Uganda. We are so Thankful to have had the Lord open this door for us.. So much more to come on this journey with Uganda Africa and I can't wait!!! You'll have to stay tuned and see where the Lord takes us on this journey:D...

I have never in my life been around such respectful, thankful  young men.

Every meal they ran, not walked, up to me and hugged me and said Thank you for the great food Auntie!

After showers they ran up to me and hugged me and said Thank you for the Shower Auntie!
After sleeping that morning they ran up to me and hugged me and said Thank you for letting us sleep in your bed Auntie!
And before heading out the door to leave they hugged me and said Thank you for opening your home to us
Auntie!!! and each time they did the same to Matt.
These boys pulled at our heart strings, thats for sure!!!


Uncle Jeremy thought that it was so awesome that Addison had her own chair so he tried so hard to get her to sit in it and she just kept running from him haha. It was so funny.

"Listen, be still Jessi" is what I hear him tell me. I am finally able to hear him. I am finally resting in him and knowing that he is abundantly gracious. In my weakness he is strong. He is ALL I need, yet he still blesses me everyday with a loving family and wonderful friends and new opportunities to serve him..
